You can use a discussion or you can use a content page and allow students to contribute.
Both allow the ability to see what others have done and comment. The discussion is probably the better choice as it allows thoughts to be organized and kept with the submission. Editing a content page potentially runs into conflict issues when multiple students are editing at the same time.
If the project was a group project, do not make the discussion a group discussion. That would limit the ability for people to see it to people in the same group and they have already seen it.
If you make it an ungraded discussion, you need to remember to check the box to "Add to student to-do" or some will claim they didn't know they had to do it. Also, attachments made to an ungraded discussion count towards the student's storage quota. If it is an embedded object like a Google LTI application, it shouldn't matter. But if it is a document that they upload or a PowerPoint presentation, those will count against their quota. Some of those can be large. Depending on the goals and type of submission, I recommend making it a graded discussion. You could have the students turn it in to the discussion in the first place rather than as a separate assignment -- however, you lose the ability to use DocViewer within SpeedGrader when you do this.
