I would like to use the Groups feature to divide my class into two groups. I would then like to assign the first group to do individual presentations on a particular date. The second group would present individual presentations on a separate date. I do not want this to be considered a group assignment where only one submission is allow for everyone in that group. Is this possible?

I think what you need to create is sections, not groups. Sections are used to differentiate students. Groups are used for collaborative projects.

Thank you Susan. I actually have two different sections. I wanted to do groups within sections.

Yes, this can be done in groups, as shown from this screenshot from the guide, How do I assign an assignment to a course group?
