"Page Error: Something broke unexpectedly" after submission of Quizzes

When trying to take a survey quiz, the application gives a "Page Error" when a question is submitted. The information looks unsaved at first. However, when the page is refreshed, it routes to the survey overview page and it displays that the survey was saved and turned in. When I double check to see if all questions were answered and saved, they are. What is this error? 

When I look into the browser network logs, this is the error code I receive.

Some context on the website, It is being hosted on Google Cloud Platform through the Bitnami CanvasLMS Application.

Hi to anyone who may be facing this issue. I'm posting this, in case it's helpful for anyone else.

We had this same error affect two quizzes and many students in a section running at my institution. It seemed to be just one person in one quiz at first, but it quickly snowballed and affected other students and quizzes. We had to have our Canvas Administrator reach out to Canvas for support for a manual fix. Here is what the tech said:

I looked into the API of the quiz and saw that it was listed with the wrong position number in reference to its location on the assignments page. I was able to refresh the API to update the position for the assignment and it appears to be working.

We're not sure what "update the position for the assignment" means — maybe on the back end, its order got mixed up? Anyhow, it needs a Canvas administrator to escalate to support.
