what is namecoach?

I saw namecoach for the first time enabled in my sidebar.  It said I needed to give it access to my canvas.  I am not sure what this is.  I'm assuming it is an external tool of some sort? Can someone fill me in?

You didn't say whether you're a teacher or a student, but if you're a student, please ask your instructor how they plan to use the tool. You can contact your instructor through the Canvas Inbox (How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student?‌) If you're an instructor, please ask your local Canvas admin for additional background on the tool's deployment in your course.
