Good morning!
One of my teachers created a quiz, but forgot to add the due date/open time before publishing. She unpublished it, and tried to add the due date information, but Canvas will not let her save. She clicks the "Save" button, and absolutely nothing happens. I've tried it myself, and got the same result. Any ideas? (This is our first year with Canvas, so I'm still learning everything.)
@scofieldc , have you tried using Firefox or Chrome? The only time we have this happen is if someone is using Internet Explorer or Edge. Is this happening for any other quizzes? So can you recreate it?
We're actually using Chrome. I tried to recreate it, but I had no problem. She's the only teacher doing things so far.
Presumably, there are no submissions to the quiz?
That is correct. We are brand-new to Canvas, so she's setting up her course right now. No students are enrolled at all yet.
That sounds super strange and I've never had this type of thing happen in Chrome. Has she (or you) tried recreating the quiz? I'd also go ahead and send this through to Canvas Support to take a look at.
Have you tried clearing the cache in Chrome? It almost sounds like something is 'hanging up' and clearing the cache might help. Once it's cleared, log out of Canvas, close Chrome, then open it back up and log back into Canvas and see if that makes a difference.
We are giving the Canvas Admins area a little bit of love (especially questions that are really, really old) and just want to check in with you. This will also bring this question new attention.
Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need.
