The New User Interface

I am sure that somewhere I saw an introductory video about the new UI. Am I just a crazy, delusional old fool or can somebody point me to it?

Hi Kelley,

Currently there isn't a video about the new UI, but there will be one available before the new UI is released in production, which is currently planned sometime next month.

Absolutely! It will be available for any admin to enable in their production environment and will be optional for at least one year.

For anyone else who is curious and more technically adventurous, the new interface can be used by downloading the open source version of Canvas here​. You can follow their quick start instructions to get it up and running (it's somewhat technical).

Or, you can actually turn it on and play with it in beta right now. (Be advised they're still making some tweaks.)

We were hoping for an easy something to introduce this new UI to faculty and students. The functionality and feature changes associate with the new UI are minor and intuitive (except for log off), so we did not want to make too big a deal out of it and needlessly scare folks who hate change (don't get that, but that's another story).

Its okay, because someone else in our state system (875017697​) created a simple one-pager that will meet our needs. A video would have just been cooler.
