Once the start date occurs, we need to remove our classes from the catalog, so no one attempts to enroll or asks for exceptions to be added. Is there a setting to make the start date a filter to remove a class from the catalog?
@KimJacksonUSF You can close enrollment and hide the link for users to enroll. Would that help?
I would prefer to be able to update the catalog configuration. So, that a class drops from our listing automatically once the start date passes rather than having to manually manipulate things, which is what we're doing now.
@KimJacksonUSF Another option is creating a new section for students to enroll in.
It would be so great to not have to manually update the listing after the start date passes. Seems like including an option for this would be an obvious improvement.
@jsowalsk's recommendation of closing enrollment seems to be the best solution. When creating the listing you can set the enrollment to close on the day the course starts.
My experience has been that once the course start date has passed the listing automatically stops displaying on the catalog page. A direct link to the single listing page still works but if browsing the catalog it doesn't appear.
