Custom Certificate Variable Update
Summary
Custom HTML certificates in Catalog support two additional variables: student_email and student_canvas_user_id.
Change Benefit
This enhancement allows institutions to include more personalized and trackable student information on certificates, improves the flexibility of certificate templates, and supports better integration with external systems that use email or Canvas user ID for identification and reporting.
Feature Workflow
The custom HTML/CSS certificate feature is enhanced with updated variables.
- student_email: Displays the student's email address
- student_canvas_user_id: Displays the student's Canvas user ID
