Locking Icons in Modules

Anyone figure out a way to Lock all locking icons in the course modules? I know Instructure has it to where it is manually done one locking mechanism at a time. I have about 300-400 new courses that need to have the items in the modules locked and I am not wanting to do them all individually. The courses have multiple modules and locking mechanisms in each. I have attempted researching how to do this via SIS import files, but it appears that is not possible. I reviewed the API files, but it seems like it is also set to lock each item per module ID. 

(PUT /api/v1/courses/:course_id/modules/:id/relock)

Just wanted to see who else has faced this issue and what you did to solve it.

Hi @dbush,

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm wondering if you could give more info on what you're trying to do here.  Relocking a module usually is necessary when there have been changes to module requirements after students have progressed through a course.  Are you saying that's the case in that many courses right now, or is this a different scenario.  Your screenshot shows the published indicator, which show the green checkmark even when a module is locked, so I wonder if there's a terminology mix-up here maybe.  Any more info that you can provide will help us give the best response possible!

I have attached a couple of snapshots of a Blueprint we use. On the settings page (the first pic) we lock our Blueprints as General Locked Objects and lock the Content and Points. This keeps any profs from altering or changing the content. We have a specific set up and Prof cannot alter those specific areas in a course. Once that is done,  we lock our modules and assignments (the second snapshot). The second snapshot also shows one assignment unlocked. That just means an Instructor can go into the course and change the content or points associated with that particular assignment. So I am trying to find a way to lock all the unlocked Icons Objects on the course page (there are quite a few courses), without having to do it manually.

Thanks for the clarification that you're referring to blueprint locking, which is actually different from module locking (that refers to locking module access based on prerequisites).  I think you'd need to use the Blueprint API to do that kind of locking, but there seems to be an issue with that documentation page right now (I'm getting a 403 Forbidden error when trying to access it).  I'm fairly certain there is no other way to do blueprint locking than the UI or the API though, so I can at least tell you that much.  I'll try to remember to check back on this and give you more specific info once the documentation page comes back online.
