Parent looking for missing assignments using API

Hello, as a parent of 2 students, I would like to use the API to gather a list of any assignments marked as "missing".  Additionally (and separately) I'd also like to be able to pull grades.

I'm currently able to use curl and an access token to pull some information, but I don't seem to be able to get the specific information I'm looking for.  For instance, I can pull the url /api/v1/courses/233392/assignments/ but it only gives me assignments from 2018, and when I look at the web interface, I can see assignments in that class for 2019, including 1 missing on.

Can someone direct me towards full documentation on the API, or any resource that would help?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

How many assignments do you get back?

Have you checked its not a pagination issue (Pagination - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation); do you get more if you add something like ?per_page=100 to your API call?
