auto_subscribe Calendar Feed

Let me preface by saying I'm working through a Canvas Technical Admin course and learning to use the API (really no experience before this course)

One of the things that I saw when looking through the live API document was a way to auto subscribe users to a calendar. I was hoping to be able to auto subscribe all of our high school students to our high school account level calendar. I've run the Live API and made auto_subscribe true. The response body doesn't seem to output auto_subscribe anywhere. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if auto_subscribe isn't what I think it is. Any information would be appreciated.
