[Accessibility] Radio Button Instructions for JAWS Users

Problem statement:

Our Instructional Designer has found that if a JAWS user in an exam with radio buttons accidentally hits the enter key, they get stuck in a loop and have no idea what they did wrong.

Proposed solution:

She recommends coding the HTML so that when radio buttons are encountered (ideally just before each group of radio buttons), the screen reader reads instructions on how to select answers with the radio buttons.

I failed to add this from the ID: This can be done in a way so that sighted students don’t see or hear it – but those reading with a screen reader hear the instructions. (It could be very simple, such as “Use spacebar for radio button selection.”)
