When a due date is past and the "available till" date is past, students can't access an assignment at all. If I leave the "available till" date open past the due date, they can still submit in Canvas. I want them to turn in late work as a hard copy.
Allow students to view assignments without being able to submit online. When I have questions or prompts in Canvas I want them to be able to view those questions. In this case the penalty for turning it in late is the inconvenience of having to do it on paper. As it is now I either have to leave it open, reopen it, or print it out for the student.
