It should be possible to display only assessment relevant assignments under "Assignments". The chronological overview of these assignments is particularly important for students. And it bothers them that this overview is "diluted" by non-assessment relevant exercises from New Quizzes and by Assignments without assessment, which cannot be hidden here. "Assignments" in its current form is a wildly patchwork collection of content. Clean it up.
Create a tab as the default interface for students that shows only the assignments that are relevant for assessment, in chronological order. That is, without the ungraded assignments and all the ungraded (New Quizzes) quizzes. This is the to-do list that students want to consult in a course. The Type/Groups tab can then contain all the content that cannot be found anywhere else, such as the Assignments without grading.
