Bring back "Display as Points" option for Weighted Assignment Groups

Problem statement:

Several instructors at our institution used the "Display as Points" option in the Total grade column despite using weights in assignment groups.

Proposed solution:

We don't understand why this feature option was taken away because it was very useful.

According to our guide How do I use the total column in the gradebook?, points are not visible in the total column when the instructor uses weighted grades. When reviewing the document's history, this has been in place since 2017.

Could it be that you were looking at Assignment Groups without weighting rules?

I'm interested in learning more! Could you provide some additional context?

Hi @KristinL, It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we were able to change the Gradebook Total Grade column to display from Percentages to Points even when using weighted Assignment Groups. Many of our faculty want this feature back.
