This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas

Set a button of "clear answers" to be able to leave blank a multiple choice question to avoid penalization.

Case:

Spain is a country of:

a) Europe > 1 pt

b) America > -0.25 pt

c) Africa > -0.25 pt

d) Asia > -0.25 pt

If the student select an incorrect answer, he will never have the posibility of leave the question without answer in the test revision.

If they are not sure about the answer they will prefer a 0 instead a -0.25 point.

I agree; there needs to be a way for students to clear their answer to multiple choice questions once selected in case negative marking is enabled.

Can't wait for the tutorial so I can have a better understand where the benefit is for this update. I don't any experience with leveraging negative points/values on multiple choice questions.
