Multilingual course configuration under Settings

Need

Be able to configure courses in more than one language simultaneously in order to be able to create multilingual courses.

The configuration must have a main language field and other secondary ones: If the user chooses a language different from any of the course languages, the main language will be forced. On the other hand, if the user chooses a language from those that are configured in the course, he/she is automatically shown in that language. 

The aim is to have an additional configuration field that allows to define the languages in which the same course will be taught and therefore ,to fill in all the descriptive fields (course title, activities, etc. and description of the course, module, activity, etc.) in these languages.

Why

Configure which languages the course will be taught in so that teachers can create multi-language content that will be displayed according to the student's preferred language.

Advantages

Institutions may have multilingual courses, that is, in more than one language at a time.  Having multilingual courses gives the students the advantage of choosing the course in the language in which they feel most comfortable among those offered in the course teaching. This choice will also have an impact on the student's progress.

Configuración del curso multilingüe en el apartado de Configuración

Necesidad

Poder configurar los cursos en más de un idioma a la vez para poder crear cursos multilingüe.

La configuración debe tener un campo de idioma principal y otros secundarios: Si el usuario elige un idioma diferente a cualquiera del curso, se le fuerza al idioma principal. En cambio, si el usuario se pone un idioma de los que están configurados en la asignatura, se le muestra automáticamente en ese idioma. 

El objetivo es tener un campo adicional de configuración que permita definir los idiomas en que un mismo curso será impartido y así, rellenar todos los campos descriptivos (título de curso, actividades, etc. y descripción del curso, del módulo, de la actividad, etc.) en estos idiomas.

¿Por qué?

Configurar en qué idiomas se impartirá el curso y así los profesores podrán crear contenido multi idioma que será desplegado de acuerdo al idioma preferido del estudiante .

Ventajas

Las instituciones pueden tener cursos multilingüe, es decir, en más de un idioma a la vez.  Tener cursos multilingüe da la ventaja al alumno de escoger el curso en el idioma que se sienta más cómodo dentro de los que se imparten en la docencia del curso. Esta opción también repercutirá en el progreso del estudiante.
