[Discussions] Deleted Discussion Comments
Hello, this suggestion applies to the 2024 Canvas (new version): In the Discussion assignments, sometimes, AFTER a student has correctly submitted their original posting in response to the assignment prompt, they may submit a blank posting. It is rare, but it happens. In this case, to clean up the discussion, I delete blank postings such as this. In the 2020-2022 version that I used, the notification that I deleted the comment does not appear. However, in this new 2024 version, it says in bold in the space where the comment was, "Deleted by [My Name]." This bold notification is very unfortunate, as it gives the impression that the instructor has deleted something inappropriate...but this is not at all the case! I've simply deleted an empty posting.
As the instructor, I should be able to hide the "Deleted by [My Name]" comment in the case of deleting student comments (such as a blank posting).
