[Discussions] More Discussion functionality

Problem statement:

Allow instructor to use Discussions as a question and answer platform in STEMM courses that have equation heavy elements.

Proposed solution:

1) Inline Latex formatting of equations – I need to be able to type out Latex commands in line with my text and have it rendered correctly 2) The ability to track when questions have been answered, either by students, by me, or by another instructor 3) Students must be able to post anonymously so that I can’t see who has posted if the student chooses to post anonymously 5) Ability to post images 6) Include a clean, simple UI 7) question duplication detection, 😎 student ability to upvote questions and answers 9) a way for the instructor to track student engagement on the platform.

What are the guidelines for submitting a new idea? 

Before resubmitting, I think you'd like some of the features associated with the Canvas Release: Discussions/Announcements Redesign. There is a wonderful new UI with added functionality for instructors and students!
