CompTIA's LTI tool supports multiple types of LTI links -- instructor dashboard, student dashboard, deep linking to individual assets, proctored exams, etc. However, if I wanted to create multiple easy-to-access links to each of these in a single placement (particularly if the placement is not one that supports Deep Linking, like the Course Navigation placement), it's impossible. Even with Deep Linking, if I wanted to set various types of links to be only instructor-visible, I couldn't, since a single placement's settings apply to all links created for it. For example, if I wanted to place two Resource links in Course Navigation: one to our Instructor Dashboard with only Canvas admin visibility, and one for our Student Dashboard available to all, I couldn't, because Canvas' LTI 1.3 implementation only supports a single Course Navigation destination per tool.
In the LTI 1.3 Developer Key configuration, allow the selection of any given placement multiple times, creating multiple distinct configurations for that placement. This will allow the creation of multiple Course Navigation destinations within a single tool. Thanks for the consideration!
