When a teacher creates an Assignment, and adds a name and details, the name and details get deleted and overwritten by the file name once you add the Google Cloud Assignment. Canvas Support says this is intended behavior as of a year ago but I want to make folks aware and ask that it be fixed: "This was a change that happened last year, so you are right that it used to not happen like this. Please fix it so the Name and Details that the teacher types are retained, like it used to be. Teachers take a lot of time to write their assignment details. Some don't realize their content (Name and Details) is gone after adding the tool and saving the assignment. A teacher who reported this to me thought her assignment had been deleted or overwritten -- not knowing that the assignment is in fact there, but that the name and details were deleted.
