[Gradebook] Enable teacher to specify which grading periods should contribute to the total grade

Problem statement:

Currently the gradebook allows teachers to see totals for particular grading periods, or an overall total. Consider the case of a course with four grading periods for which grades are formally reported to students and parents. Say a teacher wishes to report a total for the first three grading periods, but some students are late submitting some period 3 assignments for health reasons etc. AND the teacher has already graded assignments some assignments for period 4. The totals for these students now includes grades from period 4.

Proposed solution:

Checkboxes or a similar method which would allow a teacher to specify which grading periods contribute to a total grade would solve this problem
