Problem statement:

When a student has a "missing" assignment and I enter a score in speedgrader, the "missing" label remains.

Proposed solution:

When I enter a score in speedgrader, it should automatically override the "missing" label.

Thank you for sharing this idea with the Community! After reviewing your request, this should already be in place. It was noted in the Canvas Release Notes (2022-01-15) and when a support agent and I tested the action in a sandbox course, we saw the missing label removed from the assignment after a score was added. This worked for us in Speedgrader and the Gradebook.
