[Gradebook] close or reduce the selection on the pop up menu

Problem statement:

While in the Grade book. Apply Filters. I desire that to: close or reduce the selection on the pop up menu. This is for both Apply Filters or editing existing filters. Now, I have to click-off somewhere. Seems like a waste of time. Otherwise the menu lingers. Annoying.

Proposed solution:

It should immediately collapse/close just like it does when we select 'Remove filter' choices/drop down menus.
