If a student was already added to a group and you need to change their group, it can be a tedious process to find the student so they can be re-assigned to another group. All the groups are collapsed by default, so unless you know the specific group name they are assigned to, instructors would need to click each group to see who is enrolled in it. Here is an example of when a student may need to be re-assigned: A student was assigned to a group, but ended up being absent during the majority of the group assignment. Thus, the instructor would like to move that student to their own group for a make-up assignment.
To make it easier to see who is enrolled in each group and reduce the number of clicks needed, it would be convenient to have an expand/collapse groups button at the top of each group set. This would be similar to the collapse/expand all button that is available for modules.
