[Mobile - Canvas Teacher] Submit for student using Mobile App

Problem statement:

'Submit for student' is a new feature, since March 2023, that does not exist in the Mobile App. We would like say for a student who hands in homework (for example a drawn poster) in class but has not submitted it as an online assignment in Canvas. The teacher can simply take a photo of the poster and upload it using his/her Mobile phone on behalf of the student. Currently a teacher needs to take the photo and upload it to their PC in order to submit it, which is time consuming and an awkward process.

Proposed solution:

Enable the Mobile App for ios and Android to submit an assignment (online assignment) using a Mobile phone especially with Photos or a Video as required.

There is no current commitment yet but we are definitely considering this feature on mobile. Increasing the feature parity with web is one of our key pillars in the mobile strategy. I am sorry I can't give you closer information at the moment.
