[New Analytics] Statistics for Individual Assignment, Pages, etc.

Problem statement:

Determining whether and how much students are interacting with a specific content or assessment item requires going to Course Analytics, navigating through the data, and filtering appropriately. This requires navigating away from the page/item in question, then moving through the charts/graphs, and often through each student to acquire the information. This process can be very time-consuming for faculty to acquire the information they need.

Proposed solution:

Statistics about student access and completion for an item should be made available directly within an item; for instance, available from the three-dots menu for a page/assessment. These statistics would summarize access, etc. only for the item itself, and importantly not just be a link to Course Analytics. This change would provide quick and easy access to current student information without the need to sort through Course Analytics. Ideally, the in-depth statistics could also be provided for discussions, such as the number of initial posts, number of replies, and number of posts read. Overall, this solution would support instructor just-in-time knowledge about course participation, rather than a broad overview that requires filtering and hence more time.
