Instructors cannot add additional time to a student's in-progress New Quiz. Currently, adding additional time can only be added to a student's quiz attempt before the quiz has started. This is a huge problem. There are a lot of legitimate reasons why a student may need additional time added to an in-progress quiz.
Allow additional time to be added to an in-progress New Quiz. An instructor might have forgotten to provide a disability accommodation to a student's in-progress quiz and needs to provide that student with additional time without the student having to begin a brand new quiz attempt. Instructors may choose to add more time to a student's quiz if the student was close to finishing the quiz, but didn't quite have enough time. Instructors may want to provide additional time to a student if the student was interrupted while taking the quiz and left the quiz running. There are many reasons why instructors may want to grant additional time to an in-progress quiz. Instructors should be given the prerogative to do so without forcing a student to start the quiz all over again. Forcing students to start the quiz over again in unacceptable.
