Our Illustrative Mathematics curriculum has Cool Downs and Practice Problems built into Canvas as New Quizzes. The problem we are running into right now is that some of these questions want students to draw their answers. For example, draw a dot plot of the provided data. There is no way for students to draw their answer into the text box.
In Canvas assignments, there is the annotation type that does allow students to draw/annotate an image or document. I would like to see this type added as a quiz question type. I see this solution benefiting math quizzes and also other subject area quizzes. An alternate solution would be to add drawing features into the Canvas text box tools. Either solution would solve this issue.
