When creating an item bank in Canvas, it does not automatically populate into the course where you are working. Instead, instructors must manually find the item bank and share it with themselves or remember to check a box to link it to the course. This process is redundant and can easily lead to mistakes or forgotten steps.
Item banks created while working in a specific course should automatically be shared with that course by default. Since instructors are typically building questions for the class they are currently working in, this would streamline workflow and eliminate unnecessary extra steps.
