[New Quizzes] Notification for Submission of Quiz without Manually Graded Items

Problem statement:

Currently, instructors cannot elect to receive a notification when a student has submitted a (New Quizzes) quiz attempt (unless that quiz requires manual grading). (See "All Submissions" on this Canvas resource doc: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Resource-Documents/Canvas-Notifications/ta-p/387041). This makes it challenging for those that are using the results of Canvas quizzes as the trigger for other workflows - certification, course placement, etc. Or if the quiz is being used as a survey, and the instructor needs to know when someone has responded.

While we appreciate your proposal, we also want to be transparent about the likelihood of something like this making it to production. The Product Team reviewed some of our feature proposals recently and, unfortunately, this request was identified as one that they would not be able to include in their current or future plans.

We can see how in the creating notifications for any quiz submission would be valuable in your use case, but the larger whole of our user base is more interested in having less notifications particularly for those quizzes that are auto-graded. You could check the moderate tab to see who already submitted as well.
