[New Quizzes] Students shouldn't be able to see exact correct/incorrect for 'multiple answer' question

Problem statement:

I have multiple answer questions with credit given for partial correctness. I want students to be able to see if they got the question right, partially right, or wrong, and I need to give feedback for incorrect answers, since they can try the quiz multiple times. However, if I choose 'Indicate response as correct or incorrect', then each individual tick box is marked as correct or incorrect when they look at the results -- meaning that students can see exactly what the correct and incorrect boxes should be, regardless of what they selected. Conversely, if I only let them see how many points they got (so as to hide the "correctness" of each answer choice), then my feedback for incorrect/incorrect answers (or even general feedback for the question!) doesn't show up. All of this is sub-optimal. I'm pretty sure this didn't used to be the case (with New Quizzes), but it certainly is now. As always, Canvas seems unable to fathom how formative assessment should actually work. (Do they even have a UX team??)

Proposed solution:

There should be a way to show students for a multiple answer question that they got the question totally right, partially right (i.e., some correct answers chosen, or all correct answers but also some incorrect answers), or totally incorrect (i.e., no correct answers chosen), without showing WHAT THE ANSWERS ARE. (That's the whole point of not choosing 'show correct answer'.) Additionally, there should be an option to show students FEEDBACK on a question whether or not the correctness is shown. (From the way the settings are laid out, this is what it appears *should* already be the case, but it is *not* the case. Maybe that's a bug, and if so, it needs to be fixed right away.)
