I get notified via email any time a student submits a quiz (that is auto graded). I want this option to be turned off since I do not need a notification every time a quiz is submitted. However, I do need immediate notifications for submissions that are open ended so I can immediately grade them. According to Canvas Tech Support, there is no way to turn off notifications for only quizzes. It's all assignments or nothing. When I hover over the notification setting for All Submissions, it does say " Assignment (except quizzes) submission/resubmission," however, I still get notified about quiz submissions.
for submission notifications, separate the type of submissions so quiz submission notifications can be turned off but but all other assignments can be left on to be notified immediately.
