[Pages] Add a Next Button When Using a Front Page as the Home Page

Problem statement:

Currently, if a Front Page is selected as the Course Home Page, students open the class to a Page with no navigation buttons. If there are no links on the page then the student must click Modules and find where to go to next.

Below are two screenshots to help clarify the issue. The first screenshot is a Canvas page called “Week 11 Agenda”. These agenda pages are placed at the beginning of each week of the course. Because this page is in Modules there is a Next navigation button at the bottom. The second screenshot is the same page but used as the Home Page. When students click Home this page appears, but there is no Next navigation button at the bottom.

Proposed solution:

If a Front Page is selected as the Course Home Page, then please add a Next navigation button to the Home Page so that students can go to the next Module item. Or another solution, if a Front Page is selected as the Course Home Page, then take students to that Page directly. In this case, the Home link is a shortcut to a Page.
