[Pages] Multiple user edit alerts

Two staff were editing a document (proof reading) at basically the same time, and only the edits made by the last person to save the document were updated.

Is it possible to have an alert on the edit page notifying the second (and any subsequent) user that the page is locked by the first user for editing.  Ideally it will identify the first person who is completing the edits - just in case they have been called to do something else and have forgotten they have the page open - so they can be contacted to close the page for others to complete the updates.

Alternatively, a 'check in' and 'check out'; function would be great so that only one person can edit a page at a time.

Or if two people are editing the same page - perhaps a 'copy' of the page is created so there are two versions available? (although this would probably cause more issues further down the line).

Problem statement:

Problem: Two instructors editing content in the same course at the same time because they are co-instructors Use-Case: Two instructors at University of Oregon, USA, edited the course at the same time and it led to content loss.

Proposed solution:

A warning alert message for that scenario might be a nice feature.
