[People] Restore People Page

Problem statement:

The people page in Canvas LMS is now cutting off the role, activity, and options for each of my students. This is a new problem this school year.

Proposed solution:

Revert to the old people page so that I can edit my students' sections without needing to scroll to the bottom of the page so that I can scroll left or right to get to the menu section. The will save time and make the program more functional.

Problem statement:

In the past few weeks, my team started noticing that the list of users on the People tab in all Canvas sites has expanded. It has expanded so much that the three dot menu is covered up by default in many courses. Whenever we need to change a user's role, we need to go to the bottom of the list and move the horizontal scroll bar to the right to make the three dot menu appear. We have been receiving questions from users about this (likely because our course names and sections can get lengthy), so I wanted to learn what caused the change. I don't recall having to use a scroll bar in the past to locate the three dot menu. I remember that before the section names were put on a second line if they were very long. Is there a way to revert it back to the old system? I did write to Instructure Support, and they told me that there is no workaround. Thanks, Kate

Proposed solution:

Limit a character limit for sections or another field. If it bypasses the character limit, the words will continue underneath on a section line. This way the three dot menu can remain in the same location and be visible on the People tab of all courses in the same place. Users are not easily finding the scroll bar, which can only be found at the very bottom of the list of People. Some courses have hundreds of users, and the list can be quite long.
