AI bots are rampant in my class. I can spot them very easily however, students want to refute it. I have a proposed way to combat this and it would not take much effort on Canvas' end.
Allow font size to go as small as 1pt or less if possible. I want to be able to hide a word in the prompt in white font. If the font can be as small as possible it will not be detected in the initial highlight and copy. Once it is pasted into something like ChatGPT it will appear but my thought is that students are just pasting and hitting enter. I want to imbed a word like kiwi or peas into the prompt so the AI bot will add this as part of the topic. This would confirm their AI use.
