[SIS] Transfer of EX grades in Canvas to Veracross

Problem statement:

John Farmer - https://axiom.veracross.com/mva/#/detail/student-us/159015/162-general Class: https://axiom.veracross.com/mva/#/detail/class-ms-us/10475/143-general This student's grades are not transferring from Canvas. Please investigate and advise. Response from Veracross: Thanks for getting in touch with this. Looking at Johnathan's assignments for the linked class it looks like the assignments themselves are being passed back to Axiom, all with a Completion Status of "Pending" and score of 0. Viewing Jonathan's assignments in the Results Endpoints query (which provides a list of all assignment grades modeled in Veracross, including assignment grades updated via the OneRoster API), it looks like some grades (included all those for the Spanish class) are being passed back to Veracross with a "Not Submitted" score status: This will translate to a Completion Status of "Pending" or "Not Turned In" in Axiom (as a result of how the Oneroster Score Statuses have been assigned here). I don't believe that grades would be expected for assignments with a "Not Submitted" status and this may be what's causing issues. I would recommend reviewing how the grades have been entered in Canvas and getting in touch with Canvas directly to see if they are able to assist you in troubleshooting this further.

Proposed solution:

Find a way that transfers the EXC option in Canvas grades to EXC in Veracross without penalty.

Thank you for sharing this idea! I checked in with my colleagues in Support, and it sounds like they are looking into the issue. Our SIS team should be able to help, and if they need to collaborate with the Product Team, they can do so.
