[Scheduler] New Calendar by course used for student signup for projects

Problem statement:

We have several courses that involve community service projects for that course. Students need to see what opportunities are there, days, times, locations. These opportunities can change last minute so the project coordinator needs to be able to change it on the fly.

Proposed solution:

If we could have a calendar similar to a google calendar that we can embed into a page in a Canvas course page, then students could see all available opportunities. Having an option to signup would be nice so the project leaders know how many to expect. (maybe even add to their local calendar - this would be a bonus part, not needed).

Thank you for taking the time to share this idea with the Instructure Community. Have you explored the Scheduler feature? Would something like Scheduler allow students to browse and sign up for opportunities?
