We have instances where 1 section needs access to Zoom and other sections are in person. I would like to be able to assign the Zoom only to those who are in the online instance, but not those who are in person. I'd also like to be able to hide the Cloud recordings from all the students.
The students who are expected to be available in person don't need an option to stay away by joining a Zoom or watching a recorded lecture. Because all the material is shared with these sections, having a merged course makes posting quizzes and assignments more efficient for the instructor. Solution: inviting students by section, and choosing who can view the Zoom Cloud recordings by selecting "None" or by section as well.
