"Test Student" does not show the tools students have at their disposal. Students do not instinctively know canvas, so we need to have the ability to show them from the student perspective how to use these tools. There needs to be a way to show all of the features to the students without having to go into a student account. Also, Teachers cannot access the "what if" scores for their students from the teacher portal. I use them a lot as a student to help remove some of my anxiety about grades, and having access to them (even if its a separate page/tab/navigation option on a class or individual, ideally both) would be helpful.
When looking at the "Test Student" even in student view from my teacher portal, there should be at least one version where i can show them the "statistics" even if its not tied to the test student. It could be generic for a "test assignment" or something, or it could be class using the data except for the test student. for example I want to show them that they can see the average, or median for each assignment to see where they are compared to their peers. I would also love to be able to use "what if" scores for each student. I can only access "what if" for "test student" and only in "student view", it would be really helpful for parent conferences to show them if they did x,y,z their grade could be ___ . So a "what if" page would be good, or even a checkbox like it has on the student page to use the "What ifs" (then maybe like a big red banner that would stay up while the feature is active to show that these are "what if" scores not actual scores. )
