I cannot use View as Student for my whole course because of "Lock Until" or "Available from" settings on assignments or exams or modules. For example, I have a module with an exam that doesn't open until a future date, and then modules beyond that are not accessible until the exam is submitted. Thus, I cannot view future modules as Test Student until later. But I need to be able to test my whole course before it is published and students start moving through it and submitting work.
Allow Student View the option to progress, despite "Lock Until" or "Available from" dates. I understand that an actual student will not be able to do the same thing, but the point of the Test Student is for us to be able to test our whole Canvas Shell. If we cannot progress beyond a certain point because of dates set, then we cannot test our whole shell. A work around would be to remove "Lock Until" or "Available from" dates temporarily, but then we cannot truly test our shell. What if we are given a message that says something like "Students cannot progress because of [reason], but click 'Progress Anyway' to continue testing your course as Test Student".
