I work in a distance education sector that relies upon teaching videos. Video watching is a core 'learning requirement' but one that's hard to check up on without going course -> find individual video -> find next individual video. Progressively, students are 'skipping' or missing this critical component of learning and it's hard to hold them accountable. I, as an administrator, cannot see course level data on video watching (in order to check up on students by course or year level). I cannot search admin insights within Studio to check on an individual students' habit. When I use other tools of analytics (e.g. admin analytics, new analytics) I cannot see a reflection on video engagement. When I would like to do other things to increase video watching (e.g. Studio Quizzes) or to easily share statistics with team members I'm restricted by the fact that the videos are in course libraries not my own library.
Essentially, I want to better understand student video usage, better track it, and be able to use it to hold students accountable. I would like this permission shared with other teachers and would like observers (who at my school use Canvas to get reporting data) to be able to track Studio insights if possible.
