Dark theme changes course color options

Having used the dark theme on the iOS version of Canvas on both my iPad and iPhone for two years now, I noticed today when trying to change course colors for my upcoming classes that there are certain color options that are suddenly unavailable with the dark theme (e.g., bright red, dark green, etc.). I used the dark theme all semester and was able to pick colors for my courses that are now no longer showing as options. Is this a bug, or is this intended behavior? If intended, is there any way to bring the colors back? I have attached screenshots to this post for further clarification as to what I mean. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

The change of color choices is most likely to only display colors that provide the correct contrast ratio for accessibility standards.

Thank you for the information! But now I'm curious: does that mean there is no way to get the full range of colors that I used to have then?

Most likely, you will not be able to change the color to something other than what is offered if you remain in the Dark Theme. You can access the original colors if you change back to the Light Theme. I imagine they would be unlikely to change the colors offered in the Dark Theme, as they already took care to ensure they are compatible with Accessibility Standards.
