Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with filtering speedgrader by section in the app. Unfortunately, this isn't yet an option although you are not the only one to suggest it:

You can also consider changing the course setting to filter by section by going to settings and enabling "Launch SpeedGrader Filtered by Student Group" You also could create two groups under the people tab - all sections in their respective group. Students can still submit assignments individually and be given their own unique grade, though you may not want to do this on everything. Hopefully this helps!
