Grading in updated Canvas teacher app no longer allows filtering by section

The updated version of the Canvas teacher app for i-pad has removed the functionality of selecting grades to view by section.  This is (was) one of the most important features of the mobile app and allowed not only very efficient grading of both homework assignments and quizzes by section (grades have to be transferred to another platform in which students are organized by section), but also allowed facilitated giving individual feedback to students during class via the teacher i-pad: during class, the students are of course organized by section. 

Please consider bringing back this simple but extremely important functionality.

AGREED - please bring this back ASAP!!!! Why would you remove this? You must not have teachers managing the app? If I want to do a quick check to see who did and did not submit an assignment, I need to be able to filter by section. Otherwise, using CANVAS is not efficient in a career where we are always short on time!!!

And when you attempt to use a browser, the draw tool will only create lines. This is not helpful

This is a huge problem at my school and I can't believe Canvas would remove the app and then make us request to have it back.  Garbage.

This is extremely important for teachers who teach multiple sections of the same course that utilize cross-listing. Please bring this function back to the Canvas teacher app.

Agreed. It is remarkably annoying when trying to grade speeches in class, having to move through all sections to find a student.

This was one of my FAVORITE features on the mobile app. Instead of walking around with a laptop, I was able to visit each of my students, at their desks, and grade annotations or quick daily assignments using my phone. This new update is a major downfall for the app and its functionality of use.

100% agree with everyone's comments and frustration. Why removed an extremely useful feature? Not that it matters, why at this point. Please bring the feature back in the next update/patch. Thanks.

Please restore this filter feature to the phone app ASAP, please.  Instead of taking 10 minutes to enter grades for 1 assignment across 5 classes, it's taking me 40 min to sort through this master alphabetical list.  I may redo all of my assignments as google forms just for the ability to sort by class section when I enter grades.  Please restore this ASAP, please.

I agree.  PLEASE provide an update with the ability to filter by section from the iPad ASAP.  Trying to determine which of 150 students are the ones in my section every single time takes a LOT of extra time..... and just swiping through those that aren't.  It takes at least 4 times as long.  Please fix this.
