Time submissions in app differ from what instructor sees

We have students that are submitting assignments through the Canvas app but the time is different from what is showing as when it was submitted for the instructor. It is showing a later time and not simply to the hour as it would be with a time zone issue. Has anyone noticed this?

Hi Richard,

Thank you for reaching out.  When I try replicating this on my side, I am able to properly see the correct submission time when testing it, and it matches the student's view, as well as web and mobile views of the teacher. If this has happened and you can show an example of where this occurred, I would recommend reaching out to Canvas support; it's highly likely there's some reason for this, but we would want to have them take a look at the specific example.
