Canvas App Release Notes (iOS 8.4)

Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas iOS App requires iOS 17.0 or later.

• Discussion Checkpoints display in the module list, notifications list, and syllabus summary.
• Assignment details present Discussion Checkpoint completion and point values.
• List item selections remain highlighted on iPad to improve clarity during navigation.
• Career experience includes an updated learner dashboard for a more intuitive experience.
• Resolved an issue that prevented assignments from loading in certain scenarios.
• Embedded media in text-entry submissions consistently plays as expected.
• Eliminated a crash related to uploading files for assignment submissions.
• Improved stability for iOS 26 users.
