Canvas Teacher Release Notes (iOS 2.3)

Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Teacher iOS App requires iOS 17.0 or later.

• Discussion Checkpoints handled in both the module list and syllabus summary for broader visibility.
• List item selections remain highlighted on iPad, supporting clearer navigation across screens.
• Assignments load successfully in more situations.
• QR code login functions reliably for additional users.
• macOS stability improved when swiping through submissions in SpeedGrader.
• PDF annotation toolbar in SpeedGrader remains visible during grading.
• Groups from concluded courses no longer surface in the All Courses view.
• Messaging correctly restricts sending when courses have concluded.
• To-Dos for pages and ungraded discussions included in the syllabus summary.
• Submissions for student-annotation assignments consistently load on the submission screen.
• Embedded media included in text-entry submissions plays as expected.
• Improved stability for iOS 26 users.
