Canvas Parent Release Notes (iOS 3.25)

Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Parent iOS App requires iOS 17.0 or later.

Parent App Updates

• Discussion Checkpoints supported in the grade list and syllabus summary for improved visibility of progress.
• Assignments load reliably across more scenarios.
• QR code login succeeds more consistently.
• Groups from concluded courses remain hidden from the All Courses view.
• File downloads function correctly on the submission screen.
• Observers can access quiz submission feedback when Assignment Enhancements is enabled.
• To-Dos for pages and ungraded discussions included in the syllabus summary.
• Course picker loads properly when composing messages.
• Improved stability for iOS 26 users.
